My mother picked 3 of the winning numbers AND the mega ball number. However, this means beans because she decided against buying a ticket. The numbers are written on a little piece of notebook paper.

I've been idly thinking about what I would do with half a billion dollars if I'd won that lottery jackpot. (I don't do lotteries. I don't gamble. At all.)
Obviously, I'd pay off all my outstanding debt including my mortgage. But I'd still have megabucks left over. Yacht? Private jet? Trip around the world in said private jet? (What, you think I'm gonna fly it? Hire pilot, sip champagne, see world. ) Big donation to AEPhi Foundation? Big donation to a charity that helps adult victims of child abuse and adult children of alcoholics? Yes to all of the above... but the dollar amount is just staggering.
My husband tossed $10 into the office pool. We'll see. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm feeling an awful lot like my high school self tonight. Which is a shame because I really didn't like her.

Do people usually have baby showers for their second child if the second child is the same sex as the first? And the first child is less than two years old?
And by baby showers I mean she is registered at babies r us and it was included on the invitation.

TECHNICALLY you are only supposed to have a shower for the first child - and it should not be given by a family member. The way around that is to have a luncheon or tea. People still bring gifts, of course.
I personally think it's tacky to list the registry store on the invite - when you call to rsvp (AND YES, YOU CALL AND RSVP SO YOUR HOSTESS DOESN'T TEAR OUT HER HAIR) you ask your hostess.

I think a second shower for a child that is the same sex as the first is super tacky. It makes the mother look like a greedy fool who wants a gift grab. But that's just my opinion.
On another note, this power outage right before we make dinner is really inconvenient.

Why don't people understand the difference between "apart" and "a part"? So many errors that people make, I can at least get my head around, but not this one.
