I'm confused (as most photogs that my clients use work for themselves and don't have parent companies.)

When you say company, do you mean studio (as in your photographer = one of like 5 who are part of the same studio headed/owned by one main photographer Ex: Lovespink is a photographer under KSUViolet studios, so if you book with us, you could get me or Lovespink. Whomever is available?)

Or do you mean that your photographer is part of a photography chain. Ex: Bella Pictures, the Target of wedding photography (not that I mean that negatively, I just couldn't think of a better way to describe it?)

Whoops, I meant studio, not company.

Are "morning after" photos really a thing nowadays?

Saw this idea on pinterest, and I may try and convince some of my friends to do this

keep the "morning after" pictures for you and your spouse, use this one to show your child how they came into existence.

Ah yes, current photography trends dictate that everything be photographed. Stuff I've seen gaining popularity in the wedding circuit:

*Filmed and photographed proposals. Complete with styled photoshoot afterward.

*Styled engagement shoots. Ex: Vintage camera themed, vintage car themed, etc.

*Dress shopping shoots.

*Pre-wedding maids photoshoot or bachelorette party shoot.

*Boudoir pics.

*Day After wedding shoot (bride and groom dressed back up in dress/tux to take more "relaxed" photos at a variety of locations.)

*Anniversary pics (a la engagement pics but on your first anniversary.)

The vast majority of these things make me roll my eyes. The wedding industry/pinterest have all made people want to seem more exciting and fun than they really are. I was thinking about doing boudoir pics for the first anniversary (paper), but I have awhile to really decide on that.

Fiance and I have a meeting with my only choice for a wedding photographer tomorrow. Wish us luck

Best of luck! We've been married one year and 10 days, and STILL don't have the wedding albums! Be sure to get dates (pre-wedding/studio, wedding/reception, any post wedding pictures AND proofs for all of them) in writing!

honey, FI and I didn't end up meeting the photographers as planned. The photographers got sick and ended up having to cancel. I will end up having to meet them by myself since FI and I don't live together and was a pain coordinating all of our schedules
Either way, I would love to book them for our wedding; here is their site:

I have a pretty sweet camera phone, so I'm probably gonna start a faux-tog business on the side. Who needs photoshop when you have all those cool filters on instagram?

Update: We get to see the proofs this Sunday! Two years, one month and two days after the wedding.

Do I have to say that I demanded a refund if they weren't produced by February 1st?
