The best part is, no one realizes it! They just say, "Oh, you're not from around here, are you?"
If I ever quit getting catalogs & sale ads, I will probably save an entire acre of rain forest a month!

Someone out there hates me because when I give them my number, I change one digit. At random, I will choose a digit in the phone number to change. They only want your area code anyway!

I do that, too, and have for years!
When I worked in the school admin. bldg, my secretary once got a call (on our business number, mind you) from some concern wanting to offer her a "money-saving opportunity." All they needed was her full name and home address. She told him:
My name is Nancy Regan, and I live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!

I once said I was Amy Carter, and the idiot sales clerk said, "My, you really did grow up, didn't you?"
I felt like saying, "No, she's STILL homely!"
But seriously, it only takes a week of reading the newspaper or watching the news to know that we're getting closer by the second. I have often prayed that I will have the wisdom to know when it's about to happen on a wide-spread basis, and the strength to say no.

When I'm asked for my number I just say no thank you and they look at me strange and I look back at them strange. Also the government already knows how to get all of your information its called a social security number.

Mark your calendars: January 1, 2010 will commence the new national IDs
The new national ID/Mark of the Beast was originally scheduled to commence May 12, 2008, three years after the Real ID Act was signed into law. That day has been postponed to January 1, 2010.
The legal compliance requirements for this Act are outlined in Title 42 of the United States Code, Chapter 7, subchapter IV, Part D, paragraph 666.
Link here
Bush made a speech to this effect discussing the requirement for each American to possess such a National ID on June 6, 2006. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82L3qU33CwY

This is about child support enforcement, where exactly is the language about the national I.D. Can you pull it out and post it? (Admittedly, I just scanned it.)

Found this From 2005. How Real ID will affect you: FAQ
Also wikipedia Real ID Act
It imposes federal standards on state IDs. Some states are opposing this, State Non-compliance
There's nothing in here about any sort of microchip in or barcode onyour body, commonly thought to be the mark of the beast.
I too, found nothing in the code he posted about RealID or identification beyond requiring one's SSN or TIN for identification purposes (along with other information)

Shoot, wasn't everyone getting an SSN Beast Mark-ish enough?
Besides, isn't the Mark of the Beast one of the "markings" of the Tribulation? Isn't the Rapture supposed to happen before that?

(at bolded) you obviously didn't [completely] read your own link you posted:
From the Real ID FAQ link posted above, page 2:
Quote:
You said the ID card will be electronically readable. What does that mean?
|
Quote:
The Real ID Act says federally accepted ID cards must be "machine readable," and lets Homeland Security determine the details. That could end up being a magnetic strip, enhanced bar code, or radio frequency identification (RFID) chips.
In the past, Homeland Security has indicated it likes the concept of RFID chips. The State Department is already going to be embedding RFID devices in passports, and Homeland Security wants to issue RFID-outfitted IDs to foreign visitors who enter the country at the Mexican and Canadian borders. The agency plans to start a yearlong test of the technology in July at checkpoints in Arizona, New York and Washington state.
