40th Birthday Cake Ideas

My husband turns 40 this year and we are having a party for him. The family had a party this year for my 30th and husband ordered my cake in the shape of a gray tombstone to go with the over the hill theme. I would like to top that for his 40th birthday cake.

Any ideas?

Yeah, you could use Tootsie Rolls or--what was it in Caddyshack, Baby Ruths?--for the um, excrement.

If you ate the Baby Ruth, would you be a potty mouth?

I like the toilet idea a lot! HAHAA!

This will be primarily a family party however with a couple of neighbors and a few friends. Several children will be there as well ranging everywhere in age from 3 to 17. I wouldnt care if it were just teens coming, but that idea may be inappropriate for the toddlers, preschooler, and elementary children relatives to see. I'm trying to find a family appropriate cake

Being a rubix champion in the 80's is pretty telling.

Along those lines, maybe you can include a funny "caption" on the cake to get him back for the tombstone cake.

I remember when my mom turned 40, everything was "Old Buzzard" themed.

When my boyfriend turned 40 last year, I got him a cake shaped like a Ferrari - a reference from one of our favorite South Park episodes, when Satan wants a lifesize Ferrari cake at his Super Sweet Halloween Party.
