Seeingstars, if it can be shared, what is the significance of the dangle on the Shaw badge? Did all the founders wear that?

What a lovely display! I have one of those cutout wooden letter pins...bet we're from a similar generation.
Alpha Gam requires that pledge pins be turned in at initiation. Bet Alpha Chi does, too. At one time Alpha Gam had pledge ribbons that were striped: red/yellow/green. But more often chapters bought grosgrain and tied the three colors together.

seeingstars, LOVE seeing the Tri Delta badges. I am very fond of the trident guards -- so cool.

Old Sigma Kappa pin?
Here is an image of a pin that I was wondering if it was from the Sigma Kappa sorority.....I know there was an old high school group by the same name. The motto around the pin is "Cor Unum Una Via"
Thanks.

PS I do not own this pin......i just had the picture in my files.......

Nah. Plus they know their first pin is now their pledge pin.

This was posted on Zeta's FB page yesterday....look at the crown....
From the caption:
This is Grace Elcan Garnett's 1899 opal badge. She was one of the first new members of ZTA. This early badge is one of only a few to have a 3-pointed crown on it, instead of the 5-pointed crown. (From the ZTA Archives)

Didn't mean to imply that it was the badge of the tribe with the motto "one heart one way," but only that was a transliteration of "Cor Unum Una Via."

I'm not Seeingstars, but I can tell you that the dangle on Sarah Ida Shaw's badge is a Golden Circle dangle. The Golden Circle dangle is now a pin given to a member for their 50th anniversary of membership, but Sarah Ida Shaw originally designed the dangle to signify the Circle Degree of Initiation. Deltas go through Circle Degree when they go alum. I believe that the dangle attached to her badge is actually signifying the Circle Degree, not the 50th anniversary, although it is a little different from our modern Golden Circle badge.
Also, I believe that all of those Tri Delta Badges are from our Alpha Chapter! I believe I was able to see the garnet and diamond one in person (or one just like it at EO), and it is stunning!

I've been debating about an upgrade forever, and I want silver or white gold (purely b/c I don't like yellow gold) and I love the fact we have silver badges b/c one of our colours is silver. I just want to see some good photos to help my decision =)

I bought one for my sister for her birthday. It is indistinguishable from a white gold version. You can see it on the HJ site on FB. It's an AOII badge in a badge holder.

I think this picture looks a bit weird, but it's from a Blogspot about NPC sorority badges:
These aren't "real-world", but in case they help as well (from the HJ Greek site).

I uploaded a picture to HJ's FB page. It's not their stock photo. Look on their wall on December 11th.
