Why must we graduate?

I'm really getting bummed about graduation, especially since I've drifted apart from a lot of my really close friends and sisters. There are some who I can talk to like there's never been a day when we haven't seen each other but there's others that don't return my calls or IMs.

How did other alums deal with it? Any advice? I really wanted our friendships to continue, but I'm getting more and more hurt as the days go by and my phone continues not to ring!

The same thing happened to me after graduation. People move far away, get married, have kids, and the sorority is less important to some then it was back in the day. I think it is like anything else in life. Some people remain friends with the people they went to elementary and highschool with and some don't~~Often after graduation a lot of people sadly don't have too much in common anymore. I recommend joining/starting an alumnae association. It is a great way to reconnect with alumnae in your area who are also looking to meet new friends and also who continue to hold the sorority near and dear to their heart.

You still have us!

I understand... I think we all go through this with friends and sisters.

Like Winney said, you can always join an Alumnae group... Or heck, plan a bbq or pool party and email everyone, asking them to come. I've noticed that when someone's been gone from a group for awhile, once they take that initial step to go to one event, they're more likely to keep in contact.

If you want to talk, PM me.
