Fat tire on tap though, so that'll have to make due.
Make sure you block the door on the little train that takes you to the terminal. It yells at you.

A monthly pass for the CTA in Chicago costs $75.

My pass, the Metra Link-up Passport, is good for unlimited Metra train rides between zone E (Lisle train station for me) and zone A (Downtown Chicago), unlimited Pace bus rides (suburban bus system), and unlimited rush hour CTA rides (I wish this was fully unlimited!) and costs me $135.90 per month. However I have the Tax-Free Transit program at work.

I was that person when I was there in January.

The sun came out. Too nice to take a nap, especially since all I did for spring break was absolutely nothing. And I got my bike back from the shop today. So off to explore the city trails I go.

Really Random...

Of the voices that yell at you, the guy who was the male voice is dead. He's a former Denver radio and TV personality from the very early days of broadcasting here.

The woman is Reynelda Muse, who is a former TV anchor from Columbus, CNN and then my former station here. She now lives in Chicago with her "new" husband.

They were chosen because their "accents" were the closest to "General American" that could be found.

I like both of them better than the robot who yells at you at the Atlanta airport.

And here I got all annoyed when they raised the monthly price for the MBTA from $35 to $44... I guess that's not so bad..

ha, no doubt - this place is completely bootleg

although I'd never had any Boulder Brewery products before - the pale is sick, I'll tip one for ksigkid (and absurd boredom during the NCAA dead period)

Scheduled for 35 hours next week. That's unheard of at the bar. They need to give me medical, dammit.

good luck! Wear your hair up. That's my trick.

I want to hear about the firing.

I love Worldly Goods, Ames's Fair Trade store.
I bought my Mother's Day gift already. A carving from Argentina of a hummingbird and a flower.
Bought someone (next relative to see me) a chili soup mix from the Women's Beans Project.
Bought a bamboo windchime for my friend Melissa for when we see each other later this spring.
I got a few ideas for Melissa's wedding present and gifts for the nephew and neice.

Oh- and the bike shop guys and I are cool now. Came in, explained problem, they fixed it while I went to Worldly Goods, came back and bought some stuff I don't really need but thought would be cool to have for some trail rides.
Need to head back there after my next paycheck and get a trunk-mount bike rack for my car.

Conclusion: Spent more money than I should have, yay for being a poor student aka no more beer money

So the guy I went out to lunch with yesterday and thought it went well...
He was really strange to me on IM last night... like, I thought he was high or drunk. So I started to figure okay, so much for that, guess he's not into me.
But when he got home from work today we started talking on IM and now i'm going out with him, his brother and a bunch of their friends.
Guys are strange!

Maybe he was having an off night -- you know, some weird family problems it would've been way too early to tell you. Or maybe he has allergies and Sudafed makes him weird. Or maybe he was high or drunk.

yay for second dates?

Yay for second dates! *fingers crossed*
