Sorors representing on the Tom Joyner Morning Show
Did anyone catch this morning's "Party with a Purpose" segment on the Tom Joyner Morning Show? Sorors were representing well regarding Census 2000 and the outreach efforts we're making to get everyone counted.
However, the show's cast kicked up some dust between AKA and our "half sisters" (as the soror on the show termed the ladies of DST). One cast member was in one state where the Deltas were stepping and another cast member was in SC where our sorors were discussing the AKA/Census tour bus. So they positioned it like AKA is all about business and DST is all about stepping. Regardless of that fuss, I was happy to hear that sorors are taking care of our people's business, all the time.
When all is said and done, it doesn't matter whether you like or don't like your line sisters, how hard you pledged or hazed, how much para you own, or how "pretty" you are. What matters is that you are of service to all mankind. THIS is what we women of AKA are about.
