How many new pledges for men's fraternities out there? How many guys did you take if you're in a fraternity? We are pinning three guys tonight (not bad for fall and no party house) and plan to get some more through snap bids. Yeah.
Congrats. Keep up the good work. I'd gladly take 3 or 5 good guys that I have known for a while and are already friends with, and peeps you know will make good brothers vs. 30 I dont know at all. Unfortunately big systems do that to you.
I am proud of you man. Remember, keep looking at other student orgs, etc. for members. Great spot for recruitment.
How could I NOT congratulate you!
Aan ounce of gold is far more valuable than a pound of steel. Both are great and needed in their own right, but GOLD is hard to beat!
I'm really proud and relieved (I was Rush Chair) that we got 23 great new pledges and 3 new affiliates to our chapter on Bid Night this past Saturday.
This year was the best rush we've had in years (our usual number is 17). My chapter also has a high retention rate so next semester we may be adding 20-22 new brothers to our chapter

"23 new pledges and 3 new affiliates"
What's the difference between a pledge and an affiliate?

An affiliate is a brother that has been initiated and transferred schools. They can go to any other university and seek affiliation with the chapter there.
It is my understanding that my chapter( I graduated in 1988) got 8 pledges at the end of formal rush. Based on past performance I would expect the chapter to pick up 3-4 more pledges in open rush for an 11-12 man fall class.
