Leaving Sorority

Unfortunately, due to mental health and financial reasons, I need to drop my sorority. I pledged in the spring but things went downhill rapidly over the summer.

What is the process like for leaving? I'm in a NAPA (Asian interest) sorority if that helps. Do I just talk to my chapter president or go to nationals? Thanks in advance for the help.

In a case like this, I think you should definitely discuss your problems at the very least with a member of your executive committee-treasurer, membership chair, president, etc. Theyre there to listen and lend an ear to what you're going through. I wouldn't know exactly what goes on in NAPA sorority but I know that also hearing the advice of a sister you know would really help if anyone ever felt like dropping. Theyd also have quicker access to Nationals and/or policies than a regular member and I'm sure they're privy to a lot of knowledge in that regard.

I hope it all works out for you!
