Good luck to all the groups. Yes, I'd love to see AXiD selected, but I also know the true joy when you're able to recolonize where you once were -- like having a part of your soul restored. Best wishes, ladies!

Where is Evans, GA located?
There have been some posts about the possibility of a DG colony at Alabama. One of the Delta Gammas on the board would be able to give you much more up to date colonization information.

I am sorry to report that the Tau Kappa Epsilon chapter at Arkansas State University has been closed. It was established in 1949 and was known as the chapter that initiated Elvis Presley (honorary).
The chapter was closed due to declining numbers. This situation is a perfect example for chapters that think they will 'never' have trouble recruiting. TKE at ASU was one of the strongest on campus for many years. It was also one of their strongest nationally. Then, after a couple of rough rushes, they started downhill and never regained momentum.

Interesting... Are these long-term plans, or is Maryland really expanding IFC that quickly? Sigma Pi just colonized there on April 18th.

Oh, and since I didn't see it in the rest of the thread, Sigma Pi will be colonizing at Georgia Tech and U Penn this year. (So far. I'll be pretty amazed if Jim Divita doesn't pull a couple more colonies out of his hat before the year is over.)

Not presenting until Sept. I heard Sept. 9, but don't quote me.

I am sorry to report the closings of the following chapters:
Alpha Chi Omega - Simpson College (Iowa). The chapter was closed over the summer.
Zeta Psi - Syracuse University. See exlurker's posts in the Risk Management Forum.
San Diego State University announced that Delta Zeta will recolonize at the end of September.
