Is there a reason groups would not be interested?

It's kind of known as a commuter/suitcase school. (Not that there's anything wrong with that...LOL.) I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with that, but to be honest, when I saw that it was open for expansion, my first thought was "really?"

I was wondering the same thing. The Panhellenic website says the application deadline was August 8th but I haven't heard who has applied. Presentations start October 21st so maybe we'll hear more at that time.

Thank you! I was curious about this expansion, I would really like to see Sigma Kappa go after this. But I know we have a few larger projects coming up so I am not sure how anxious they are to add another.

I didn't know where else to put this but Kappa Alpha Theta at Washburn University in Kansas announced the closing of their chapter.
They posted this on their Facebook account and on their website at: http://www.kappaalphatheta.org/whats...ilon-82014-FBK

I was wondering the same thing about Florida Tech. I know DPhiE had presented back in the spring and I hadn't heard anything or seen anything on Facebook. I was surprised to hear that the university was open for expansion in the first place, but Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Phi and Phi Sigma Sigma have all seemed to do well over the last few years and had successful recruitment.

I'm actually a little surprised they are open as well, considering quota is only 13. But yes, since DPhiE was the only group to present, I had assumed we would've heard a definitive yes or no by now

Well, according to the last grade/status report, 2 of the 3 chapters are over total with the other not far behind and after recruitment, possibly at total. I knew that at one point (maybe about 4 or 5 years ago), they had wanted to raise total to 45 (up from the current 35) which I never understood, because at that time, I don't think any chapter but MAYBE one was at total.
Florida Tech is growing as a school and I would love to eventually see another sorority come to campus. It's my alma mater, as well as where I work!

The following schools are open for extension:
Coe College(Iowa)
Emory University(Georgia)
Truman State University(Missouri)
Young Harris College(Georgia) **YHC had opened previously
Also, has anyone heard any news about Furman? Alpha Phi, Phi Mu, and Zeta Tau Alpha were invited to present last year, but no news has ever come out.

Has anything related to the campus culture at YHC changed to warrant a more successful opening for extension this time around?
