I wish I knew! It was just on Pinterest the other day and only linked to the picture not a site or anything

This isn't a great photo, but here's an example, with a dime:

These are all Alpha Delta Pi pins with only pearl points.

The top one is the miniature - note the somewhat elongated black diamond.

The middle one is the former standard size - the diamond is fuller, more balanced.

The last one is the one now made by HJ.

Again, not great photos, but another comparison:

From left to right: A miniature pin on a pendant; a standard pin; a twenty-five year pin. You can see the larger black diamond easily on this shot.

I don't have a photo of it (yet), but I have three pins with pearls and sapphire points that show the transition very clearly.

My goal is to get an awesome picture (with and without sizing) of each, and having a large poster made of all of the different sorts of pins which have been available. I've always said that Alpha Delta Pis are bound by the Black Diamond that we all wear, but the way we personalize our pins show unity AND diversity.

I didn't win it. I certainly hope that a sister did....and if so, good for her. But.....I will be getting my happy hands on a very special antique Beta Sigma Phi badge in a very short time. Too bad that torch guards aren't available on current new badges, because I want one. (See my avatar)

Keep looking. You can generally find some great Beta Sigma Phi badges on that site.

For the holidays I received a display box for my pins (very exciting) and I just finished placing them this weekend. In doing so I figured it was as good a time as any to photograph all of them, so prepare yourself... I'll be posting a lot in the coming days. :-)

I am so excited to see your collection...especially the two that you unknowingly outbid me on I myself am waiting on my personal badge to come in from HJ (why it's taken them so long is beyond me) and a certain special badge to get mailed to me tomorrow that I will take many pictures of when it arrives

Lately, there have been lots of bidders on badges (mostly our Gold/Pearl badges) for Beta Sigma Phi in general.
As in, the bidding starts very low, then is gets close to the $100 mark. One my second try over the past month or so, I was able to snag this one (my first full jewel pin!)....and that brightened my day tremendously.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121251470387 (The listing won't let me copy the photos...)

I can't wait until it arrives! Our international has started publicizing the auctions on these badges recently to bring them to the attention of other sisters. I assume to that's intended to tip things in favor of one of us getting them if more sisters are bidding on them than those who aren't.

Even some of our other official jewelry like achievement bands/charm bracelets and other pins are getting some frequent bidding action. I wish that we could rescue many of them, especially the antique ones..... but there are soooo many out there that its hard to do.

Congratulations! It's a lovely badge.

As for getting a lot of sisters to start bidding. You want to be really careful or you'll just start running up the prices needlessly on all that jewelry by bidding against each other. You might consider starting some type of group that informs sisters of who is bidding so you don't compete against each other.
