So sadly I only have recs for half of the houses. Hopefully its enough to have a successful recruitment. As we know, it only takes one!

My understanding is that recommendations are sent on your behalf to the chapter and not sent to you. As such, it may be that some of the alumnae you were unable to reach have indeed sent in a recommendation on your behalf.

My day went great! I really liked that it was a short day. A lot of the girls in my Pi Chi group were exhausted from yesterday and today, so I felt bad for them. They were so nervous about voting, so I am kind of glad I didn't have to rank any houses low to make seven. I am still really nervous that I am going to get the dreaded phone call in the morning, but I really gave my all today and held some really touching and amazing conversations. I think yesterday was a really good reality check for me in a way because I got to go back to the "real world" for a day and realize that Greek life isn't everything at Auburn and, at the end of the day, everyone is a member of the Auburn Family.

If this ends up being a duplicate please forgive me! I think I canceled my previous post.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for my PNM daughter. I was not greek in college, and the information we got from the school when we signed up for rush indicated that letters of rec were like extra credit. She did get letters for about a third of the houses, but I am hoping her lack of recommendations won't hurt her this round. She had 9 philanthropies so I have my fingers crossed. She has had a lot of fun!

Just plugging the topic I started in the Recruitment Forum regarding an article from Auburn University Division affairs about deferred sorority and fraternity recruitment. I decided to post a link here because I thought those interedted in Auburn Recruitment might enjoy reading. Please forgive the slight hyjack and War Eagle!

First of all, congrats!
And a question, just because I'm curious.. Is this how PNMs are officially informed of their schedules at Auburn? Through text? If so, how long has that been going on?
