There is a Latina group that uses those colors, if not, I'm pretty sure there is a multi-cultural group that does. Same again for the hummingbird.

Tri-Delta also uses a moon and stars on their badge.

I've just viewed your webpage and it looks great. The name of your sorority is very simular Sigma Gamma Rho and the flower for SGR is the yellow tea Rose.

This is kind of neat, but maybe I missed it somewhere. What are you doing? Writing a book or doing an online soap opera? Just thought I'd ask. It's probably on a post somewhere else that I missed.

Thumbs up

You will also find that some sororities have several symbols and that there is overlap.

For example: the "anchor" figures prominently in both Delta Gamma and Alpha Sigma Tau. Tri-Delta and Kappa Alpha Theta both have the "pansy" for their flower.

When you add them all up, there are a tonne of sororities: NPC, NPHC, professional, local, multicultural, etc., that I think you are bound to have some overlap somewhere.

Interesting topic!

The founding is the same place as Alpha Gamma Delta, but two years later than we were founded, just a little FYI.

The year that you chose is a the year Alpha Phi Alpha was founded, and Alpha Phi Omega uses the sun so you might wnat to watch out for that

Flower: blue rose
Jewel: garnet and blue sapphire
Colors: Dark blue, burgundy and silver
Mascot: Hummingbird
Symbol: Moon and 2 stars

If anyone wants to look at the "Facts" page I did for my fictional sorority, it's http://www.geocities.com/brooklineu/dgr/facts.html

The coat of arms is based on my Irish clan's coat of arms=)

The pin is an almost exact replica of ADPi's badge. You might want to at least try changing the shape, as it might seriously offend some ADPi's out there. Just a question, why are you creating a fictional sorority website anyway? Can't you just say these girls are in a house with a fake name and leave it at that?
