YES, they do make edible glitter for cakes :-) And when Diamonds had a Disney themed party, I bet all of the Thetas "of a certain age" here knew exactly which group it was I sure did! I pledged in 1979 and remember that skit well.

The "Disney" aspect of the theme you wouldn't share made me think it was Theta.

Wow - and I thought I was being mysterious!

One thing I didn't mention was how ornate the name tags were! There was glitter everywhere during Rush, because each party meant a different name tag and more glitter. We had one skit with a Cinderella ("Cinder Pi") theme, and the name tags were three dimensional castles. I can remember ones that were large lollipops, gingerbread people, treasure chests, and other party themes, plus the obvious letters & symbols (kites, diamonds, lamps, owls, etc).

I was clueless, Honey. It's a generational thing.

I know this is an oldie, but goody, but when she talked about 2 candles, long white formals and a wishing well, I knew it was ADPi. I rushed in the early 80's at a different school and we had all those elements as well. We passed down our formals, when we graduated.

I miss the no frills rush. I understand why they don't do it now, but those were the days.....

I can remember seeing old yearbooks and pictures from other books, showing rush, and I expected the frills. But when I saw it in real life, I was absolutely amazed! It's never going to be done again, I suppose, but it would be great to see something along those lines again!

Luckily the quote about Talbots is like 10 years old! I am in my early 30s and LOVE Talbots. I just got their September catalog today and I need to hide my credit card!
