It was beautiful. My coworker was going to go with a friend, but she cancelled at the last minute. So, I got to stare at Common for 45 minutes and watch Floetry.

Wooo.... Nikki1920, there is nothing like staring at Common. I cannot wait for him to do another NYC or Philly show. I am SO THERE!!
I've seen him in concert 3 times; twice, he opened (The Roots and Talib Kweli) and once it was his set (for Finding Forever w/Q-Tip and Dres from Black Sheep).

I'm going to see Girl Talk/Dan Deacon in Chicago and Built to Spill is coming to Louisville. I'm hoping Crystal Castles adds another New York date that falls on a weekend so I can go to that. I'm supposed to be seeing Magnetic Fields in Chicago too, but waiting on a friend to buy the tickets. May have to just do it myself and drive up there alone. Also, Why? is coming to the Southgate House which is one of my favorite bands. Stephen Malkmus is coming too. As is Vampire Weekend and Bon Iver and Man Man. So many good shows coming to this area.
I've posted a pretty comprehensive list of shows coming to the KY area including shows not too far away worth going too.

Absolutely. I'd have loved to have seen Milli Vanilli....What stories you could tell! Also, I can't lie....Marky Mark's take on Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side was amazing.
Also, I just noticed Young MC on the list...I would have loved to have seen him too...I sing the line "Standin' on the wall like you was Poindexter" possibly on a daily basis

Although I've already seen both individually in concert, I'm adding Reba & Kelly Clarkson's 2 Worlds 2 Voices tour to my list. I saw them twice last week -- in Dayton, Ohio and in Louisville, Kentucky. Such a GREAT production!! Absolutely the best show I've ever been to!
