Okay, one guy has a huge Pike paddle hanging in his cube. I want to do something subtler to indicate that I am a Greek to maybe get some others to talk about it. Any ideas how to bring it up in the workplace in a classy manner?

hmm the ones I know of:

Kappa Delta

Alpha Omicron Pi

Alpha Gamma Delta x 3 - all of whom I went to school with

Sigma Nu

Its hard to bring it up at work unless you or someone else has a t-shirt or jewelry on - its so much fun though when you do find out!

I have a pic of the girls standing on the steps of the house hanging in my cubicle - other Greeks have noticed it and asked me about it. It's the kind of thing that other Greeks will notice but civilians (LOL) will not. Unless of course, you are in the sort of workplace where any personal pics are verboten.

in which case, time to invest in a screen-printed t-shirt.

I only know of one full-timer, a Kappa Alpha Psi, but I think some of the adjuncts may be Greeks as well (I work at a college).

The office I work at is smaller since I don't work out of the main headquarters. There are no greek people in my office besides me. There was a ZBT when I first started working here but he transfered to another office.

I work at a Girl Scout camp in the summer, and I thought my little sister and I were the only Greeks who worked there... but I found out last night that there are a bunch of former counselors who went greek after their camping days - a Kappa Delta, an Alpha Phi, a Gamma Phi Beta, and an Alpha Xi Delta. Wow! That's more sorority girls than I would expect to be in the woods...

The two ladies that I work with directly at the hospital at Delta Zeta(University of Kentucky) and Sigma Kappa( Georgetown College, Kentucky).

One of my instructors this semester is also a Sigma Alpha Epsilon from Marshall University.

and a side note, the psychologist that saved my life helping me through my eating disorder was also a Kappa Alpha Theta.

i actually wrote about this awhile ago on the DG message board, but i have worked down at disney world since i was 16 in the entertainment department (i perform in shows and parades as mickey and minnie mouse)...and one day durin a break i had a DG baseball cap on and the girl that plays snow white...said OH MY GOSH you are a DG too? so it was awesome running into a Delta Gamma at disney...she is the sweetest girl...and a few weeks later brought pictures of her college days and Delta Gamma. I think she was from either mississippi or missouri...she had that southern belle accent heh. cutest thing ever!
