Will my GPA and test scores kill me?
I have a 3.4 high school GPA and a 24 ACT. It's bad I know, but could it keep me from getting into a fraternity I wanted? And I also have done volunteer work for the past 5 years and played on the basketball team at my hs. So could that help cancel out my grades and scores? And I will be going to Mizzou so it's not harvard but I still worry my grades will hurt.

1st of all, you already asked the question in your other thread.
2nd of all, fraternities don't care about ACT scores. Personally, mine sucked because I'm so bad at math.
Most chapters have a minimum GPA, but 3.4 is fine. The minimum is usually (not always) around 2.5

Assuming you aren't a troll...
I wouldn't worry about it really. To put it bluntly, most (not all) fraternities tend to ignore (or at least focus less on) things like activities, grades, etc. that are seen as essential for sorority rush. We didn't even know our rushees GPAs, and I'll be honest, even if we had known I don't think it would have had an effect on our choices. In my experience, fraternity rush is almost 95% about conversations and social skills. The only time I think activities would help you is if you were in something that would be good for bragging rights (a popular varsity sports team, for example).
That being said, some chapters might look at these things more closely. And if you're rushing a colony (or an established chapter where recruitment is being heavily overseen by nationals for whatever reason) then they will be heavily scrutinized, guaranteed. But in my experience your average undergraduate fraternity chapter isn't looking at those things too closely, they are looking first and foremost for fun, outgoing guys who will add to the chapter atmosphere. Not saying this is good or bad, but it's the way it goes.

In all honesty, no.
If your whole goal is to get into a "decent" fraternity, you are already a lost cause. Just be yourself. If you are friendly, but not cloying; confident, but not cocky, you will find a home. If you go in acting like someone you aren't, just to get into the "decent" fraternity, what are you going to do for the next 4 years? It will be long and exhausting acting like someone you aren't. If your brothers find out you aren't the person you acted like, they'll be angry that you effectively lied to them just to get in.
Give several fraternities at Mizzou chances. Even the smaller ones. It's all about finding the group that you feel the most comfortable in and accepts you the way you are.
Dude, relax.

Based on your postings, your chances of getting into any fraternity are slim to none.

Nah, he is Jewish and at Mizzou. AEPi has to take all Jews therefore he is guaranteed a bid.
