Great news! For the longest time, there were only 3 sororities at Cal-Poly Pomona (Chi O, KD, ZTA). Congrats to SK's new members!

Clemson Girl, KD's fb page is UVM Kappa Delta. They have lots of pics of the colonization at Vermont if you are interested.

I did end up finding it-forgot that you have to search for Vermont-related things under "UVM" in order to find them. I am curious if this group still has the lower-cost alternative mindset that the local that petitioned Kappa Delta had.

When did Sigma Kappa leave Pomona since 1981?

I'm confused too. I don't think they have left campus. Their website states something like "for over 30 years we have...blah blah blah"

JMU LISTING CHANGE: =D
Kappa Delta closed in 1977, not 1981. They presented today and in it they showed when their Grand Council declared the Delta Rho chapter closed.
ALSO, I think it got buried but ADPi took 68+5 this year; COR/COB occurred after recruitment. I know a few other chapters also did COB, too but I don't have access to their numbers currently.

Random edit: Per Auburn Greek Affairs, GPhiB returned to campus in 1995.

St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI just announced they are going to change from spring deferred recruitment to a fall formal recruitment period. The interest in Greek Life has definitely gone up and they want to keep those freshman interested before they get too involved with other on-campus organizations.

Dates are September 25-27th, 2014 with Bid Day on September 28th, 2014.

This is horrible reasoning. If the choir or AMA or hall council honestly prevents someone from getting involved with Greek life, Greek life didn't have much to offer to begin with.

Doesn't surprise me that much. The state of Vermont was the 50th state to charter an Alpha Phi Omega chapter more than 20 years after Nevada which was the 49th.

I would normally agree with you, but being a chapter adviser and watching/learning the campus culture, it's will definitely help. They are a small, residential liberal arts college and EVERYONE is involved in 3-4 different organizations. Many of our freshman new members this semester were already officers of their residential halls and some of the other larger service groups on campus. Students here come to join and most already know what things they want to be involved with. It has definitely changed from the students in the past.

Phi Mu, Rho Lambda chapter at Cleveland State initiated 48 sisters yesterday. This includes the members of the local that were absorbed by Phi Mu, in addition to those recruited this winter.

I just saw on Sigma Kappa Facebook page that we are presenting today at Coastal Carolina. Good luck to the presentation team!
