I hope the University of Puget Sound gets a lot of interest and a double stack is considered.

That's interesting about WLU, I believe their Delta Gamma chapter recently closed too. Does anyone know if the local sorority will merge with whomever is chosen?

Congratulations to Pi Lambda Phi. They have been invited to recolonize their chapter at Rutgers University-New Brunswick(NJ). Good luck to the fraternity and new members.

They were one of our absolute favorite fraternities when I was in school. Good to see them coming back!

Miami University (OH): More bad news for fraternities.
Sigma Nu and Phi Kappa Psi: Both found responsible for violations of the Miami University Code of Student Conduct. Both chapters have been suspended with loss of university recognition.
Kappa Sigma: Recognition was revoked by the group's national organization in August of 2015

In continuing the bad news:
Sigma Alpha Epsilon has closed its chapter at Iowa State University. Closure is due to RMF.
I'm predicting that this year we're going to see a lot of closures across all fraternity organizations. The undergrads have got to realize how serious the inter/national orgs are about chapters following the values and not going against those values.
C'mon guys, we didn't just take useless oaths. We pledged to be upstanding and honor ourselves and others. We promised to be leaders. We said we would be worthy. It's time to put up or shut down.

Not to turn on the snark, (sorrynotsorry) but does that mean there will be a house available for a sorority at ISU?

No. This isn't the first time SAE has been closed/derecognized at Iowa State. It's an extremely old chapter, with a gorgeous old chapter facility and a very strong alumni base. They'll clean house, lay low for a few years, and then come back. According to an article in the Iowa State Daily, they plan on coming back in 2019.

I think she was asking if the house will possibly be rented out?

If they did, it would most likely be to another fraternity much like Pi Kapps did to Delts while Delts were building their new house. I wouldn't be surprised if a few more fraternities followed suit and tear down their current house/build a new house in that lot within the next few years like Delts and Sigma Chi did. Or if SAEs take this time to do updates to the house.
