Talking Frustrated!

Okay, Im a little frustrated with something!

At our school we have formal recruitment in the spring, and when I went through (2000) we had to meet every sorority for like 5 minutes (NPC and NPHC)I loved it, the girls in NPHC sororities sang to us, and they HARMONIZED it was awesome. And then I met groups I wouldnt think of looking at (like our Zetas!)and it was really nice.

Well this past year, they made it more like our activites day/meet the greeks in the fall, where you only go to the groups you wanted to... which poses the problem that all the women go to the 'big name' sororities... and skip right past us, even though they would fit in great! It just makes me angry... do you think if I talked to the head of Panhel it would help? ugh... Im just frustrated...

There are only a few good things that came out of Clarion- Chris Kirkpatrick of NSync, Kurt Angle (Pre WWF!) and any PHI SIGMA SIGMA!

33girl, try not to foam at the mouth

Our chapter at Clarion does so well, so I don't know what to tell you angel. I know they had a lot of problems in the past and turned things around, so keep inspirational stories of chapters like this in mind when you feel like your group gets the shaft. Talk to you HQ...they have stories

Oh Heather, you know I would never foam at the mouth about anything

Ali - here's the website for Pittsburgh's alum Panhel which would be the closest to you.
http://www.pittsburgh.com/community/groups/pghpanhel/

Right now they are on summer break, but you might want to try contacting them about this. It's a gross violation of Panhellenic rules and SHOULD NOT be allowed. In formal recruitment you have to meet each group at least once, no ifs ands or buts.
