Rush Dates
Do any of you ladies have experience with Rush Dates? We have deferred recruitment at my school so in the fall Greek members can invite PNMs on Rush Dates. My friends at other schools who have deferred recruitment never heard of this.

Are you talking about Panhellenically aproved pre-recruitment get togethers?
Kind of what's discussed in the Dirty Rush thread? Only it wouldn't be "dirty" then. http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ad.php?t=80824

Sorority girls can meet in pairs with PNMs in pairs in public areas as long as everyone pays for their own food and there are never more members than PNMs. I'm new at this so it kind of sounds like dirty rushing but it is allowed by Panhel.

If panhellenic allows it and the members abide by any restrictions, it's not dirty rushing. End of story.

It seems like it COR before Formal Recruitment. Are chapters allowed to offer bids before recruitment starts, assuming they're under total?

Rush Dates are allowed so obviously it's not dirty rushing. It just seems like it could lead to it. I guess they call them dates because it's kind of a double date?
My Rho Gamma said it's a way for the upperclassmen to get to know the PNMs better than they would at the rounds of parties.
I don't think a freshman can get offered a bid before the Formal Recruitment.

A sophomore or up could, however.

I'm at a school where pretty much everyone pledges as a freshman. There are no sophomores or juniors in my rush group.
