I know the picture posted of the IU Sigma Nu members in front of their house makes one realize it was past time for a little clean up to happen.

It sounds like they just are prohibited from pledging and other fraternity activities, not that they are getting kicked out of the house or that the chapter is closing.

As far as the picture, we have no context - if a newspaper was getting in my face for a photo when campus was blowing up with gossip about me, I'd flip the bird too.

The article didn't make it clear, but they're officially closed. Hopefully one of the unhoused sororities gets their house if that's what the chapter wants.

Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, and Alpha Xi Delta have been invited to present to Grand Valley State University(MI). Good luck to all groups.

There's a more detailed story in the IDS today. That story gives plenty of context. The last sentence:

No members from the Beta Eta chapter could be reached for comment, but members have hung a banner on the house that says in bold, red letters, "Your house is next."

The University of Louisiana-Monroe has suspended the Kappa Sigma chapter there after racist Groupme conversations between members of their pledge class were released online.

My crystal ball says that the sorority who gets to colonize at GVSU will be the sorority that starts with "Alpha"

179 women pledged the Phi Sigma Sigma colony at James Madison University(VA).

22 men pledged the Sigma Chi colony at West Chester University(PA).

Further congratulations to the colonizations this weekend of Alpha Omicron Pi at Arizona State University, Delta Gamma at Portland State University(OR), and Pi Beta Phi at the University of Nevada-Reno.

Congratulations to these groups on receiving their charters this weekend:

Alpha Sigma Phi- University of Kentucky

Alpha Tau Omega- Florida Gulf Coast University

Kappa Alpha Order- Arkansas Tech University

Sigma Tau Gamma- Western Michigan University

Clemson University (SC)'s Lambda Chi Alpha chapter is no longer listed on the national website or the local IFC. I have heard rumors that the national organization revoked their charter for failure to comply with the terms of their probation, but whatever happened it looks like they're closed.
