Starting a Clinical Trial for 4 th Stage Lung Cancer.
Will be Keytruda to see how that works. Injection every 21 days. Then a C T to seem if reacts in a + way.
If after a few tries, then next step is Keytruda with Chemo. If that is a no joy, want to try something else, LOL!
So, I guess time will tell. After 3 other Cancers, I hope this will be the last, one way or the other!

As Jane Austen wrote, I am "unwell". Not sick - unwell. That said, PGD-Grad, I will empty my private messages box, just give me a bit of time and then resend or try again or whatever you wish. And, NinjaPoodle, you've been on my mind and in my thoughts. It is difficult not to despair when the light is dimming. I remind myself that we need night to have day, and that the stars are always there, even when we cannot see them. So check this out!

I obviously needed to see these words tonight, because they shot straight to my soul. Thank you.
However trite it may sound these days, I mean it--thoughts and prayers for you and Tom.

Good luck, Tom. Fight the good fight. Keep the faith.
AGD1978, I will keep you in my intentions. Here's something I do every day, often. I look up at the sky, and I remember there are stars, I just can't see them. I'm on a tiny dot spinning in the middle of an immense cosmos. I find that comforting. Whatever I'm facing is just ego. It puts everything in perspective rapidly. Works for me.
So does putting people on ignore.

Thanks! A little perspective always helps, and good intentions. But I can't seem to find my "Like" button for the part about putting people on ignore...

Tom,
One of my co-workers has been on Keytruda and has had incredible results. I hope you fare as well as she has! Best wishes~

For NinjaPoodle, Phrozen Sands, and AGD1978, an excerpt from "A Brave and Startling Truth". I am certain you know the author of this magnificent poem. I purposely offer only the opening two stanzas. I know you'll get it.
"We, this people, on a small and lonely planet
Traveling through casual space
Past aloof stars, across the way of indifferent suns
To a destination where all signs tell us
It is possible and imperative that we learn
A brave and startling truth
"And when we come to it
To the day of peacemaking
When we release our fingers
From fists of hostility
And allow the pure air to cool our palms"
Keeping you close until the time we all finally learn this truth.

OMG. Somehow I missed that you are suffering from cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. CANCER SUCKS. Hope the Keytruda works (I've never heard of it).

keytruda is one of the emunotherapy drugs. Another is Opdivia that are for Lungs strictly.
So pin pointing LUNGs only. This is a Clinical trial so the maker pays for their drug saving my Insurance money thank goodness!!
Injection every 21 days, then everyso often a C T scan to see how cancer is doing.
After so many Keytruda only, if no + results, then change things up a bit! Keep asking them but all I get is BLA, Bla ,Bla. You know, they never talk English, they talk Dr. Nurse!
So I just say, what the heck, lets just do it!
So, tell your friends and Family, just go get Blood Tests. They work wonders and if a problem, get a head start on any problems!!
Luckily they say I can eat things that I love, LOL!
