How do you know it's Spring?
There are special things for each of us that remind us of the change in seasons. What is it that lets YOU know that Spring (or warmer weather in general) is here?
For me, it is a few different things. When I was in high school, it was dudes on the basketball court. ALL the fine dudes came out when it got warm to hoop! And all the fast girls would be right on the side lines, LOL! We also knew it was warm back then when the cars with bangin' systems (Irocs, Blazers, 9-8's, Park Avenues, etc.) and tinted windows were just out, cruisin' and bumpin' Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince's "Summertime."
Now college... You knew the weather broke when all 150 Black folks were outside!! Chillin' on the Crenshaw wall (that's what we nicknamed it), somebody had their car stereo on for us to chill to, and we'd be eating Chillers (Wittenberg's name for Blizzards) and chillin'. Man, those were the days!!!
Fast forward to present day. I now realize that the weather has broken when I can wear lighter clothes to work. No more boots. And I don't have to get up earlier in the morning to let the car heat up and windows defrost! LOL!
So, what about you? What lets you know that Springtime is here?

How do you know it's Spring in New York?
By the snow storms and below freezing temperatures...By the way gloves and heavy coats have to be dug out of the bag marked "Winter Stuff" that you stored away when you THOUGHT Spring had actually arrived.

I know it's Spring when I can rise with the sun and not in total darkness.

When I have to take out ALL the sandals (purchase NEW ones) and get the pedicures MORE often...
The grass is greener...
It begins to flood all the dayum time...(it rained ALL day today, will rain tomorrow, this weekend...get the picture?)
My sinuses do the fool too...
We begin our countdown to the end of the school year!
"Lines" begin to "Cross"
Shout outs to my initiating chapter (Alpha Theta), that just brought in new Sorors this past weekend!

LOL! I'm so confused. Like on Monday in NYC, it snowed all morning and by the afternoon the sun was out and streets were dry. If it wasn't for the fact that it's still daylight at 6pm, I'd still believe that spring was months away.

I get a new Rx for allergy and/or sinus medication.
My dog needs his Advantage for fleas.
The mosquitoes start biting.
Azaleas and dogwood trees in full bloom.
Oyster season will be over soon.
The drawbridges keep going up and down to let the boats through.

HEY HEY I was NOT FAST. I just wanted to see A P play basketball as well as a few other Warrensville Hotties.
I miss CHILLERS, they were the bomb.
There are 45 more school days, 2 weeks to the 2:00 dismissal bell rings letting me out for SPRING BREAK!! All the teachers understand the countdown.
When it is light outside 6:30 A.M.
