Plus, my Kappa Sigma gave me one of those watercolors on e-bay. I just looked and there isn't one up now... but it's a bunch of pink carnations and underneath the words, "having a sister means never standing alone." beautiful.

Those are so cute! Ours always get listed together due to the pink carnation thing, and I love them.

My favorite Greek items are:
My badge with all its dangles and initiation certificate (of course)
The wooden desk sign my father made me with my letters on it
The wooden Tiki my father made with the Phi Sigma Sigma letters (all my chapter sisters have them now and a couple of sisters from other chapters have bought them as well).
My Archon's key charm received at the end of my term as Archon

My badges
My scrapbook
My AOII signet ring, they don't make the one I have anymore. I wear it every day and love it.

My favorite Chi O things are:
My Grandmother's badge
The owl link bracelet that my Grandmother gave me when I pledged that her big sis gave her when she was a pledge
My first crest that was also my grandmother's first crest given to her by her Big when she was initiated (do you see the trend yet?)-given to me when I was initiated, it is a little silver charm
My Grandbig's lavaliere (given to me for initiation)
My pewter Chi O frame that has a pic of me and my big on big/little revelation night!
My bid day pictures and tshirt and my pledge class shirt
My "Welcome to the Nest" door owl
My first copy of the Symphony from Bid Day
I could keep going and going but I will stop here. I have lots of stuff passed on by my grandmother and neat things from my wonderful big!

What is a shingle? My daughter depledged herself, so my branch of the family tree ends there.

Betarulz - I love my shingle! I hadn't thought of that when I was listing my favorites. I've been wanting to frame it for the longest time.
GeekyPenguin - Some people call their membership certificate a shingle. I was confused when I heard that for the first time, too!

Aah ok! At first I thought they made shingles instead of paddles, which seemed really goofy!

my absolute favorite thing is my lavaliere. i couldnt WAIT to get it! but everyone said "you get it either at initiation, or your birthday or something" initiation came (march 30th) and i didnt get it. luckily, my birthday is april 14thth, which coincedentally we had another initiation. my day was basically HORRIBLE and everything about it just sucked. then after initiation, when back at the stairwell, one of the girls said "dont leave yet..." and said my big sis had somethin for me...when she got back shes like "i didnt think i was gonna get it in time!" and held out her hand and told me to hold out mine and shut my eyes. of course when i opened them, there it was!!! made my day 300% better.
i also LOVE my AXO flip flops, which were my birthday present to myself. another favorite is my AXO canvas tote bag, we get ours with our name on them too. i also love the first block letter sweatshirt i bought for myself, but i love *all* of my shirts the same. like many others have said...if it has my letters on it, i love it! im just a slap happy, proud alpha chi omega! this might be why i won the "spirit of alpha chi" award. lol
i dont have my badge yet, but im sure ill love that as much as i do my lavaliere, if not more so...duh
AX love and mine

My very favourite item is my afghan.
Either that or my totebag...A wonderful lady named Pat White made it (Look for her on eBay...Greek Attitudes and Attire is her store.) She did a superior job and it is all hand made just like the rest of her stuff.
My afghan is special to me because my grandmother got it for me for Christmas and she barely even understands what a sorority is but she KNEW that I loved my group that much. It was amazing that she could understand that.
ALso, even though my mom was a phi mu and I am tri sigma, I have her officer dangles on my badge. (I also have her "new member" pin made into a charm on my bracelet.)
And thats my rambling.
*mlk
