After Hurricane Ida, my husband and I evacuated and ended up at a hotel in Tuscaloosa. Since we were in town, we decided (read: I twisted my husband's arm) to take a drive around the University of Alabama. I wanted to see what a multimillion-dollar GLO house looked like.  My husband pulled up the GPS and picked the first address on the list with Greek letters. (Note: He never joined a GLO and has only a vague familiarity with the Greek alphabet.)
So we faithfully followed our car's GPS's directions to campus and around campus (which is YUGE!) until the car's GPS proudly announced that we had arrived at the "Sigma CHEE" house.
Unfortunately I was taking a swig from my water bottle at that exact moment... |
As messy as that sounds, I am glad you are able to laugh during your current rough patch. Thanks for taking time to let us know you and your husband are presently safe.
In a similar vein, I will never forget calling my mother during Rush Week and telling her I visited the Alpha OH-MY-CRON Pi house, emphasis on middle syllable.

Hilarious! How are you? I miss GC. Our 5 and 2 year old daughters have been keeping us busy, so I hardly have time to post. I try to get here when I can. But I’ll say that when the Buckeyes are playing against No Blue I always cheer for Ohio State. Nooooo Blue! lol
