I looked up the University of Pikeville (no s) and they have two local fraternities and two local sororities. One of the local fraternities has been tweeting about Alpha Kappa Lambda coming to visit them in November, so it looks like they're going national, and this makes me wonder if the sororities are trying to go national as well.

I'm so glad Davis is finally expanding! I wonder if the new/returning sorority will follow Theta's lead with a different style of housing from the rest of the chapters. Their house sleeps many more than the other chapters and I believe it is university-owned (though a Theta would be more knowledgeable than I). I'm not sure how easy it is to get a more "traditional" style house in Davis and, if I recall, AOPi sold theirs somewhat recently...

33girl, while that may be true at larger schools, mine has @ 7,000 students and no other campus in Kansas has suck a large spread between Fraternities and Sororities. Totals for/or sorority members is @ 100-120 while Fraternities have @ 50 members which is way out of whack with now @ 300-350 members.

No, Tom.
7 fraternities x 50 members each = 350 members
Per the 2014 numbers on PSU's website, each sorority has an average of 110 members.
3 sororities x 110 members = 330 members.
And actually, according to that site, some of the fraternities have less than 50.
You really couldn't ask for better parity between the sexes than this. It's not number of chapters that matter,.it's insuring an even balance between male and female that is most important.

Phi Kappa Psi at Indiana University has been suspended. Expected chapter return is fall 2017.

Obviously Kansas, since there is no "Pitt State" in Pennsylvania. And obviously, since you were referring to Kansas, I have no idea why you think I'd use anything from any school in Pennsylvania.
