Interview with a new colony...what do I wear?
A (relatively large) national sorority is colonizing at my school this fall, and I have an interview with them set up. What would you recommend wearing? I have a business casual dress that I think would be appropriate, but since it's only a 20 minute interview is that too much? Would jeans, boots, and a nice blouse be better? Thank you!

Contact the office of Greek Life at your school. They should be able to provide guidelines for attire for each round of colony interviews. Good luck!

Business casual for sure - skirt or pants. no jeans. Make up, clean and trimmed nails, hair done.

I already have my nails done and the make up/hair picked out, I'm just struggling with clothes! Being over/under dressed is my worst fear!
And yes, very exciting! Thank you all!

Unless you wore "after 5" attire, you won't be overdressed. A business suit would nto be looked down upon but business casual would be better. Pants/skirt, blouse/shirt, cardigan/jacket, heels/flats (NO flip flops) are all fine.

As long as it is not as short on you as on the model. You will most likely be interviewed by older alumnae, i.e., not right out of college, whose tastes will most likely be more on the conservative side. Nude heels with it?
If I have a vote, I vote for business casual for the interview. Maybe you will be invited to some of the rush parties the sorority will be holding and you could wear the dress then.

I would not buy it unless you can try it on in store before hand and determine if it's an appropriate length (just a few inches above the knee--not mid-thigh.)
ETA: Glad we all posted at once about the length.

It definitely isn't, I'm several inches shorter. I have either red (burgundy) heels or silver flats, I'm slacking in the shoe department and none of my friends are the same size as me. I also have silver sandals from NY&Company (not flip flops!) which I was considering.

Everyone who commented on length- I swear it's much longer on me! It's about three inches above my knees. Thank you all for pointing that out, though!

If you are absolutely, positively sure that it's not too short, I'd wear this dress. Some may disagree with me, but I really like it. If you do wear it, I would definitely look for some nude heels with it, if your budget allows.
