For a song given its lovely design and composition!

A little bit of info on the box.. It looks to me like it was handmade, likely by a chapter sister, and is entirely one-of-a-kind. In the 20's & 30's, there were a number of companies making white china 'blanks' in all shapes/sizes/forms. The blanks were then painted with colored & gold china paints by enterprising/artistic women. You usually see sets of teacups or dessert plates w/flowers, but in this case, the creation was a custom box.

I've never seen anything like it, and keep picking it up and admiring it. Sorry for the little light reflections, daytime pics probably would have been better. Without further ado:

Oh, how wonderful! Makes me love it even more to know that someone did the work herself, probably just a couple miles from where I am right now.

The box is beautiful, but I especially love the fact that the badge is from my school! I don't like playing favorites, because all NPC badges are stunning, but I just love how deceptively simple and beautiful the Gamma Phi badge is.

It has always struck me when looking back on old photos like that about how I have shared in the same ritual as that person 20-50-100 or more years ago, and how seriously cool that is.

WOW!!! That absolutely made my jaw drop. Stunning, simply stunning.
I have to say, this thread alone would be worth the cost of becoming a GC subscriber, just to make sure that we always have the ability to share these treasures with one another. Amazing.
