I'm planning on rushing fraternities this coming spring at the University of Texas, and I was wondering if anyone on here had any specific tips for that.
Any rushing tips / what to expect in general would be greatly appreciated too. I've never done anything like this before.
Thanks!

Recommendations are an absolutely must at UT. Contact everyone you know - teachers, church members, friend's parents, you get the idea. If you cannot locate a rec for a chapter, contact your local Alumnae chapter (this would be after you've exhausted all opportunities to locate women who know you personally).

Recruitment at UT is very competitive and you'll need to go in with an open mind.
I will say (this applies to all college men) if you haven't upgraded your wardrobe from high school, please do so before rush. Head to toe Abercrombie doesn't cut it anymore. Make sure you have some nice dress clothes and nicer casual clothes. If you have any trace of Pauly D-ness shining through you might want to go to a deprogrammer soon.

Are you already at UT? If you are, the best thing you can do at this point is try to make connections with other Frat guys. This will be your best bet for a positive recruitment experience.
