I believe they closed in 2012, but please don't quote me on that!! I think it was a 2 year closure. I am just glad to see them coming back to WSU!

Belmont University (TN) is open for expansion! Gamma Phi Beta is presenting this Tuesday (July 22nd), as are two other groups. Info found on local Gamma Phi alumnae Facebook page!
I believe that Chi Omega might be another one of the groups, although that's kind of hearsay. My mother is a Chi O and told me a few weeks back that their alumnae group was looking for support pending an expansion.

The last time Belmont had presentations was 2011, when Theta, KD & Gamma Phi presented. Theta was chosen.
(I have no knowledge if Chi O has been chosen to present this time)

I don't usually notice much activity during the summer. Were many collegians around to see the presentations?

Are these "real" presentations, or official exploratory visits? Those are more common in the summer.

LaneSig- It was Oklahoma State University, not the University of Oklahoma, whose Phi Delta Theta chapter was suspended.

Fall 2014:
* Northern Arizona University
* American University- Recolonization of Beta Psi
Towson University- Recolonization of Eta Lambda
Suffork University
* Interest Group already in progress

Kansas State fraternity updates
Via the K-State Greek Affairs website:
Community Update
As of May 19, 2014, the Beta Kappa chapter of Sigma Nu fraternity has lost recognition as a K-State Interfraternity Council member, and has been suspended from campus. If you are interested in joining this fraternity, please be aware that it is not currently recognized by the university until August 1, 2018. If you have further questions, please contact the Office of Greek Affairs at (785) 532-5546.
Welcome Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity!
Our community's newest fraternity will be colonizing at K-State this fall 2014.
I was very surprised about Sigma Nu. I can't find anything about the closure via Google, and don't have anyone on campus anymore to get the scoop. Sigma Nu had just celebrated its centennial in 2013. They have traditionally been a very strong chapter; they won homecoming in 2012.
