What does this mean?
If it doesnt need to be said out here in public, someone PM me...
I heard something about this a LONG time ago, and I just read about it on another AXiD forum....what does it mean when you cover up the Xi on your quill? I cannot remember what the reasons behind doing that would be. Thanks.

I think I've heard of this before...what context did you see it used in?
I think you cover up the Xi when a sister has passed away? I'm sure someone else will know....
AZAlphaXi, we need you!

Unfortunately I'm going to need to cover the Xi on my Quill and I am having more problems with it than I thought. I can't get the fabric to stay and I don't want to glue it or anything like that. I was wondering if any of you have done this or had any ideas.

So, the "unfortunately" led me to believe it was something bad or sad too. The passing away sounds familiar, so that might be it.

Here I am ... remember I'm on pacific time right now ...
and yes .. covering the Xi on your quill is for mourning the passing of a sister to chapter eternal.

FYI, Her name was Kathy, an alum from Gamma Epsilon chapter. She was in a car accident on Tuesday. That's all I know.

Isn't Gamma Epsilon the dormant Georgia Southern chapter? I know someone from that chapter.

Nope .. Gamma Epsilon is the still active Cal. State - Fresno chapter
Ga. Southern is Epsilon Sigma (dormant)

Gamma Epsilon is California State University-Fresno
Epsilon Sigma is Georgia Southern. I checked the "Every Alpha Xi Delta Chapter" thread, and you had made a post calling them Epsilon Gamma, but Epsilon Gamma is Western Carolina.
Too many darn greek letters to keep up with
