I am so... Confused isn't the right word. Because I know what happened. I'm not really mad, because it was bound to happen. I'm in pain I know that much, which will pass.
I partially want to punch a wall. Or cry. Except im not sad.
Being an adult kinda sux.

He was mad because he wasn't attracted to her. He didn't even want go to dinner afterwards, but she was expecting dinner so he had to go. We drove separate cars because my lady friend lives over an hour from where we met them, so we just left right after we all ate. I called him on Sunday and he told me that she sent him a text to tell him that she had a nice time. I could tell she was self-conscious about her weight, because she kept making comments about it when she was looking at the menu. I felt sorry for her, if anything. I was glad we went as a group because he was really disappointed. He said he felt she lied about her profile. I told him that her definition of "big boned" may be different from his definition of it. She was just big, period. Like bigger than Aretha Franklin "big" on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years day too. She was very nice though, and very articulate, but I understood how he felt. Though it shouldn't be the primary focus, there still has to be some physical attraction there. At least it does for me. When I talked to him on Sunday, he told me that he was done. I think he met her on that Fish dating site. I told him to just stop "looking" and "dating" altogether, because too many expectations come from that. I told him I think it's best to meet a young lady as friends when he's not expecting it. That way nobody is disappointed. For the most part you gained a friend, and if the friendship turns into a relationship, then cool. I told him, he might be waiting, but in the meantime just meet and hang out with a friend. Nothing more, nothing less. It worked for my brother and it worked (so far) for me. My brother has been married to his friend and wife for over 7 years and they have one of the most beautiful relationships I've seen. I already know he probably won't take my advice, but I was just trying to help him. He'll probably go right back to doing what he's always done and end up nowhere.
Anyway, we went to see Armored. It's a must see. I liked it.
It's after 7:30am, I'm going to be late for work.
later.

PB I am going to be really REALLY real with you (this is more for your boy)...If he is really that hung up on looks then yeah, he should probably take a little more time and get an 'accurate' picture of what he's dealing with before he goes out on those dates...but on the flip side, tell him also be aware of how many "great first dates" that he will have with women that he's attracted to that never turn into 2nd or 3rd dates (hmmm...this is starting to become a D&R thread...LOL) Then after he has had a few of those, he is going to have to make some adjustments to what he's looking for and see which outweighs the other.
Let him know too next time around if he isn't that sure about a date, just make plans to go out and get drinks or grab a quick bite that way he doesn't feel obligated to shell out so much for a date that he may not enjoy.

Anyways...
Dear Co worker,
I love how you like to espouse your views on healthy eating, the salads you make and other low calorie goodies and I even enjoyed the fact that you treated me to a smoothie...but I think it's all negated by the numerous smoke breaks that you take during the day.
P.S. Scope could go a long way to help you stand in my face talking without singeing my nasal hairs.

(*&@#%*&@% Stupid landlords thinking that putting all three front apartments on the same water heater with the laundry would be a good idea!
Why would you put 6-8 people (two bedroom apartments) in danger of not getting a hot shower before work?! There are only two people in the back apartments!

PB, thanks for the recap. Tell your boy to stop focusing on the looks. Just get out there and meet people and stop expecting something to happen.
Dear DS:
your morning letters make my morning!
Signed,
your favorite movie buddy

I just took my load of clothes out of the dryer, and my whites are whites of course, but my colors are all scrubs. Hilarious!

I love the week before finals. No classes, and no sleep.
Oh, and I just bought my plane ticket. I leave for home on the 18th of this month to see my mom, and I don't have to come back until after the 1st of the year. Yay!

That was entertaining. Back to packing.
Of all the things I have to do to move out, I think cleaning behind the bed is the most daunting. I just took a peak and found a year's worth of "Hey, I've been looking for that!"

I just got back home not too long ago. When I left this morning to get some studying done, I turned the heat way down. It's cold in here now, plus just getting out of the shower doesn't make it any warmer. So, it's time for my new snuggie.
I'm going to relax on the couch with Marbles, and study, wearing my new snuggie.
