Thumbs up Latest Adelphean

So, what did y'all think about it? I just loved the entire magazine and read it from cover to cover!!

I did, however, get a kick from the five pages of Etiquette! Needless to say, I love the stuff, but seeing that article right after the major promo on an etiquette book written by one of our sisters last issue tells me that I'm not the only person concerned about manners!!

Comments?

Oh, YEAH!

I had to chuckle this past Sunday at one of the 2 Founder's Days I attended. At one, I was greeted by the president and introduced to the women at my table. At the second, I was barely acknowledged - and the alumnae whom the deltas had never met were treated the same way! AND, the deltas were all seated on couches - filling the seats - and NOT ONE got up to offer her seat - or to greet them!

We're going to be holding an ettiquite workshop in the Fall...

I noticed in the new Adelphean that one of the girls who pledged a year after me is now District I Team Director. That's neat.

That last line just does my heart good! That has happened to FAR too many alumnae in the past few years!

no kidding! However, one thing I have noticed is that alums and deltas don't mix and mingle much. We as alums have to do our part too.

I'm glad to see the Adelphean reporters and/or editors are doing alot more with our mag. I used to only skim through because there wasn't much more than chapter highlights. I would get so annoyed when I'd read that some interesting person had given a fascinating presentation at Convention or somewhere, but that was it. I wanted to know what they said too!

But now they're really using the Adelphean to reach out to members, both actives and alums. I like knowing the direction our sorority is going on an International level. It's great to read about goals being set, accomplishments being made and explanations of why ADPi is doing what we're doing.

I hope they keep up the good work and continue to improve the Adelphean. It's our most direct link to 1,000's of alum members and we all need to be reminded every now and then that ADPi is for a lifetime.
