I'm in the Kansas City area and I went right after work at 3:30 and didn't wait in line at all. However, when I passed my polling place on the way to work this morning at 6:45, they were busy and I'm sure I would have had a long wait.

I voted last Tuesday after work and it took 20 minutes

Mr. WinniBug voted this morning, he arrived at the school about 15 min after the polls opened, and an hour and 45 min later he got back home. (The polling location (school) is less than 5 min from our house)

I voted early, and it took about two and half hours. My husband voted this morning at it took about 35 minutes at probably the busiest time of the day, which in our town seems to be right as polls open.

There's probably a lesson about early voting in this for me.

In and out in about 15 minutes. I even had time to stop off for my free Starbucks before work!

7585 at 8:30 am???? We only HAVE 1000 voters per precinct. They had over 7500 people vote in an hour and a half and you only waited 20 minutes? That is amazing.

Errr, I was assuming the polls opened at 7 am like ours. What time did they open?

I did it in 45 minutes and they have paper which is scanned. This is the 1st time I've voted here and am used to TN which had touch screen electronic voting and was much quicker.

I didn't wait at all. I got dressed for my morning run at 9am, walked 100ft to my polling place, cruised right in, got right to a booth, voted, and was hitting the exit and starting my run in less than 10 minutes.

Voted absentee 2 weeks ago.

At lunch, one of my coworkers packed his laptop and went down to his polling place to vote. He expected a long wait, so he took his work. He was back to work in 40 minutes, and that included the time to walk about 15 blocks each way.

The Plain Dealer reported that in Ohio over 1 million ballots were cast early, including about 25% of the registered voters in Northeast Ohio. Over the weekend, there were long lines and about a two-hour wait at the Board of Elections. Most were not bothered by the wait, looking at it as a convenience.

None of the above, actually. I've been back from Scotland for about 3 weeks. I'm back in my hometown of Pittsburgh for the time being. Getting hitched in t-minus 11 days, and continuing the job hunt in the US and the UK, with preference for the UK at the moment.

5 Minutes in line, 10 minutes to vote. Sweet. We had the "fill in the arrow" ballots - weird!

I did the early voting and it took me 1 1/2 hours. People were arguing all over the place, but I am glad I went early because there was complete chaos today.
