Question How should I go about this?

As some of you know, I and a group of girls are starting a new sorority on campus with the hopes of going national after we go local for a short time. Now this is where I need some of your oh so valuable help I am going to e-mail the other sororities on campus to just inform them of our actions in wanting to become apart in the Greek life at school. But.....I'm not sure on how I want to go about it. I do not want to upset them in anyway (we need their votes to 'get in') and I was wondering of what information I should give them to maybe ease their minds?? We have the fraternites on campus support so we're not worried about them, we're just worried about the soro's. (there is already 5 soro's, but all are local) Any suggestions??

Kayla

If you can, send all the sororities a nice little card saying that you would be so glad to have their support and that you're not trying to step on anyone's toes by forming your group...you just felt that there was enough interest to warrant the formation of another social sorority and you and your sisters hope that by expanding the Greek system it will become stronger and more visible on your campus. Something to that effect.

Hey!

I think thats amazing that ya'll are starting a new sorority! Are you hoping to join an NPC national later, or just expand your chapter to other schools? If you are looking to expand-email me. There are many schools around me who have greek systems that could/will soon support a new sorority.Good Luck!!!Do you have a website yet? I'd love to know more!

I agree with AchtungBaby80.

Sending a nice card (or something to that effect) would be a lovely idea.

I would keep the card positive by letting them know you want to help *promote* greek life on your campus, and maybe something about being able to contribute to the panhellenic (or other greek council)
