UC Merced officials say police fatally shot a suspect accused of stabbing five people as students walked to class today.

MERCED, Calif. -- Officials said a suspect allegedly stabbed four people as students headed to class on the UC Merced campus before police shot and killed him Wednesday morning.

As of 2 p.m., officials said four people were stabbed, not five as initially reported. Two of the stabbing victims were students, one was a staff member and another was a vendor. They are ll expected to recover. go to link to read the rest and see video.
