Maybe since this was an "internal number" for Balfour it must have been cheap. We also, at this time restricted members to only plain gold badges. I think this was all a cost issue.

I've run across quite a few Sigma Kappa badges with random A- #### engraving, I was initiated in 2001 and out badges had initials, initiation date and chapter engraved on them. Most of the ones I've seen with the random engravings I can trace to the 1950's- 1970's.

Ours are from the late 60s to mid 80s.

We were talking about badge pendants, so I thought I would share mine. The pin is from 1997. The pendant is a year old.

Love the emerald and pearl combination! Gorgeous! I admit I may be biased, green is my favorite color.

Gorgeous! This is exactly what I've been wanting. I love the emeralds with diamond points and the pendant is perfect. I held off from getting the pendant because I so wanted one with the dagger. That's not going to happen though so I should just get on with it. Is the "Housing Officer" pendant for anyone who has served on House Corp? I could get that one but it actually isn't very attractive.

Leslie Anne, I assume that the "Housing Officer" pendants are for House Corp. I don't know who else could wear them.
I love emerald badges. I really wish Nationals would let us buy an all emerald badge. We have an all diamond badge and an all pearl badge, but no all emerald badge. One of these days I'm going to ask about it.

OMG!!! This is from my chapter and if it is from 1974, my pledge class. This pin was one of my pledge sisters. Is this yours or did you rescue it??

Ooooo...pretty, pretty! I love all the emeralds! I think I like the one you have in your badge holder the best. The emeralds are so vibrant.

It's a rescue. I initiated at Epsilon Alpha.
It's really hard to read but I think the pin number is Nu 1286 and the initials are "BG." I'll need a loupe or a magnifying glass to be sure. The engraving is tiny.

Sisters, I apologize for my language in advance, but I am effing freaking out right now. My number is Nu 1285. Seriously. I know I just outed myself to any KD who wants to look me up, but..... I've never said anything here I wouldn't say in public and several KDs here have met me IRL so... Wow.
I have to look at my pledge class list. Words fail me.
