"Sneaky Nut"
Yes! It was Kappa Kappa Gamma
Even though 1902 is used as the founding date of NPC, the meeting which took place 11 years earlier was the forerunner.

Can we use the thread to ask trivia questions we don't know the answer to?
I've always wondered when the first Rho Chis (in the sense of neutral advisors) were used in Panhellenic recruitment.

On November 12, 1947, the AES sororities were unanimously accepted as associate members of NPC. In December of 1951, the AES sororities became full members of NPC.
Next question:
Three of the original six AES sororities merged with other NPC groups, leaving Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Tau and Sigma Sigma Sigma as the remaining former-AES members. What were the three that merged and with whom did they merge?

Just a guess..
The three other sororities were Pi Kappa Sigma, Delta Sigma Epsilon and Theta Sigma Upsilon. I know DSE merged with my beloved Delta Zeta, and I think Theta Sigma Upsilon merged with us or AGD.

Theta Sigma Upsilon merged with Alpha Gamma Delta!! I totally forgot about that. Now I have to ask a question:
Which school is the home to the most founding (Alpha) chapters of NPC sororities?

I believe that would be the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia.
Kappa Delta (1897)
Sigma Sigma Sigma (1898)
Zeta Tau Alpha (1898)
Alpha Sigma Alpha (1901)
Four other schools were home to at least two NPC orgs Alpha (or first) chapters, what were they?

I'm thinking that Longwood College, home of the Farmville Four.

Syracuse, Hanover, and DePauw would be three (I think) and I can't think of the fourth.

Wouldn't it be Wesleyan Female College in Macon, GA...home of the Macon Magnolias (Alpha Delta Pi and Phi Mu)?
TRICKY QUESTION: There were actually SEVEN AES sororities (6 of those became members of NPC)...what was the seventh one that hasn't been mentioned above?

I miscounted, there are actually five schools!
Monmouth College: Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma
DePauw: Kappa Alpha Theta, Alpha Chi Omega
Syracuse: Alpha Phi, Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Gamma Delta
Wesleyan: Alpha Delta Pi, Phi Mu
Barnard College: Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Epsilon Phi

Was it Beta Sigma Omicron, with whom I don't know they merged?

The seven AES sororities were:
Sigma Sigma Sigma
Alpha Sigma Alpha
Pi Kappa Sigma
Delta Sigma Epsilon
Theta Sigma Upsilon
Alpha Sigma Tau
Pi Delta Theta
What was the AES originally called, and when did the name change?
