I just finished the new book by EJD The Other Woman.

Getting to Zane, those books are off the chain. I have read Addicted, The Heat Seekers and The Sex Chronicles 1. I have 2 but haven't gotten around to reading it. The chapter in Sex Chronicles 1 about APF was crazy, so I can only imagine if there is a whole entire book dedicated to them....oh my!!

2D you must read her newest one, The Night Before 30. I read it and finished it last night. Good read. I put more about it in the DST book thread, but I had to make sure you added it to your list.

Ok, I started reading The Art of Seduction today. And no, I didn't finish the 48 Laws yet, lol. But this seduction book is a lot like the power one in that the stuff is manipulative. I guess you would have to be manipulative in order to be a seductress but I didn't want it to be all like that. It is interesting though. But it will take me just as long to read as the 48 Laws.

When I get back from Ethiopia, I'm going to catch up on my fiction reading. I'm starting to feel like a nerd, lol. I think I'll get Church Folk, Soulmates Dissipate, Never Again Once More, and the sequel to Church Folk (I forget the name).

Oh, I'm also going to read from cover to cover The Nile Valley Contributions to Civilization. I have the study guide to go with it, too. I'll try to do one lesson per month. We'll see how I do.

Well, I officially start summer vacation on Friday

I plan on picking up Hillary's book this week. Also, I plan to be inside of a bookstore at 12 midnight on Saturday to get my copy of the new Harry Potter. I may just read The Goblet of Fire to refresh my memory.

I finished Men Cry in the Dark today. It was aight.

You all have too many entries in the Book thread @ DST. It will take me an entire day to go through those threads.

At the rate I'm going, I will have read 10 books by the time I leave for Vegas. I might need to "slow my roll."

Most of it is me giving new titles and summaries. LOL

I read 4 books this weekend and am about to start book #5. This reminds me of summer reading programs that they used to have when I was a kid. One summer I read over 100 books. Those were the good old days.

Sounds LBMish. I'm in the same boat, lol.

I picked up Hillary's book today at Wal-Mart for $19.57. I want y'all to know that there is a picture on the back of the book of her and Bill... they were HIPPIES. Clearly hippies.

Carla!! I remember those summer reading programs. Also reminds me of the March of Dimes, I think, where you got people to sponsor you for each book you read. I raised so much money for that!

I might be a nerd. LOL

OMG, I lived for the summer reading programs!!
Yes, I was and still am a nerd! I read so many books one summer that the librarian knew me on a first name basis. That was also the summer I won a bike for reading the most books.

ETA: Tomorrow I will pick up Omar Tyree's new novel "Diary of A Groupie". For some reason, I keep buying his books although I have not liked the last 3.

***SMALL HIJACK***

Why was the bike not new? I was so heated because I just KNEW I was going to have a new 10 speed bike. I wish y'all could've seen this bike. The bike frame was bent, one tire was almost flat, and the bike was RUSTY!! To make it worse when we picked it up it was with my grandparents car. I thought I was going to ride the bike home. NOT!! So, my grandfather ended up riding the bike to his house, which at that time was the funniest thing to me

***END OF HIJACK***

He is an arrogant SOB. . .I met him in April. ARROGANT and insulting of some of his male counterpart authors (EJD and ELH). I was not that ethused about his writing any old way so meeting him was confirmation not to waste my time reading his books. Last book I read was that bull mess with drum beats.

100 books? In one summer? Wow! That's like close to 10 books per week!

I could probably muster about 5 100-200 pagers per week in elementary/middle school...but 10 sounds extraordinary.

Did you speed read these books?
