lol. I know if my fiance (sp?) went into a bridal shop and even tried on something like that I would call the whole thing off then and there.

I'm the MOH in a wedding next summer. They can't afford to have a big wedding, but that's isn't stopping them. They can't afford open bar, but the bride just sent us a link to her BM dresses, $170.

So you can't afford open bar, but you want me to drop $170 + alterations on a dress? Really?

Honestly, I think the gowns are meant for someone who is into more haute couture and "over-the-top" items.

Also, they are a Kleinfeld exclusive, which is why I think they're so popular on the show. I think women come to NYC to specifically try those dresses on because they cannot get them anywhere else in the US.

I loved the wedding dress the bride wore to her reception on the most recent episode of My Fair Wedding. It was a Pronovias gown, and I am now obsessed with them. Must. Try. On.

FYI - you're the fiance, she's the fiancee, and I agree with you.

Congratulations, PeppyGPhiB!

Thank you. I couldn't remember which was which, and my knowledge of French is non existent.

I looked at a lot of those when I was looking for a dress, some of them are gorgeous, others had me

Oh there are definitely some that are over the top. But I love the pleating and construction of a lot of their gowns. I also love Amsale, but that's way more than I want to pay for a wedding gown.

I had a dream no one showed up to my wedding. WTF is that supposed to mean, subconscious?
Well, the groom and the bridesmaids/groomsmen/parents were there. So I suppose that means just no guests.

Just found out that one of my good friends from my 2nd practicum site is engaged. They have been dating since sophomore year of undergrad (6 years), so she is really excited. They recently set a date for (I think) December of 2010. She recently mentioned doing a Wynn or Bellagio (Las Vegas) wedding.

This makes me happy as I love Vegas weddings, especially ones at hotels that I love.

Just checked a friend's registry. So far the things they've picked at C&B and WS are all at least $50, most over $100.

I'm hoping she either hits up BBB for her poor friends or adds something to these. WTF.

I mean really, we're already having to travel to the Homestead for this based on an ultimatum don't want to get off the fiance's moneytrain wedding.
