Transferring schools w/out Sorority!
I pledged this year and everything and now I am transferring schools because the school I am at does not have my major. Is there anything special I have to do before I leave?

Why don't you ask your chapter/advisor(s)?

Are you an initiated member or still a new member/pledge?

You're saying in the subject heading you're going to a school that doesn't have your sorority? What is your specific question, how to get alumna status?
I am assuming you have already been initiated, since you are using "AOT" in your signature?

Ditto about asking your chapter board and advisors. They can help you with this transition.

Again, what exactly are you asking? How to get alumna status?

Talk to your president. Say "hey I'm transferring and need alum status." She should have all the paperwork/have the necessary contacts. I graduated a term early and that is all I needed to do.

For KD, this is outlined in the COHB. As WCsweet<3 said, its a good idea to talk to your chapter president. She should be able to explain everything to you, and what responsibilities you need to take care of before you leave (this can differ between chapters). She can also pass this information on to other chapter officers and advisors who need to know. I encourage you to stay involved with Kappa Delta after you are an alumna! Even if there is no collegiate chapter at your new school, be sure to keep your contact info up to date with KD, as well as look to see if there is an alumnae chapter near your new school. Good luck!
