Fall '05 Fraternity Recruitment at U of Colorado

U of Colorado fraternities plan to have recruitment in the fall, although the school requested them to have deferred (spring) recruitment. This July 18 article covers some of the things the fraternities will be doing:

(The NPC sororities will have deferred recruitment.)

So, do schools with deferred recruitment

have no alcohol problems? I fail to see the connection between time of pledging and the problems CU is having. I say the Fraternities should go for it, I see why the sororities are complying. I guess it's two different approaches to survival. But, my belief is that delaying pledging doesn't delay rushing. It just makes it last longer.

So does everyone else who's Greek and has a brain. The CU admin is doing this hoping the people who aren't Greek will think they're doing some big great thing that will solve everything.
