Jen Lancaster -- "Pretty In Plaid"
I was in Borders the other day and idly picked this book up. I'd read Bitter is the New Black and really enjoyed it, and was especially intrigued to see that Lancaster would be discussing her rush and sorority experiences.
I didn't get to read the whole thing, but it looked pretty interesting as she talks about going to into Rush without knowing anything, getting dropped from the "top" chapters, pledging a chapter she felt "above" and then transferring and pledging a different organization at a different school.
As usual with Lancaster, she revels in her meanness, but also seems to appreciate how wrong she was (she seems a bit remorseful about the way she acted toward that first chapter she pledged, which she doesn't name).
I was wondering who else had read the book and what your thoughts on her depiction of Greek Life were. I thought, although not always flattering, her portrayal was fairly accurate.
