Information Needed
I am in need of info about the Betas, my name is already in the database but I did have a few questions.
I wanted to know if there were any young women who were Betas? I am 21 years old and most women I have seen or talked to are over 30. Will I have a chance being so young?
Also, I am a woman of color. I did notice on the website everyone was mostly white, how does chapter diveristy so and sorority diversity.

I am a woman of color too. I think that will depend on the area that you are in...my chapter is in Northwest Washington (and there is a serious lack of color there). But it is all good!
ETA: I know on the Beta forum, there are 3 "sistahs" on here (including myself)

Welcome Sharlee!
Sharlee:
I experienced the same situation in Kentucky. I recently moved here and was introduced to Beta Sigma Phi through my aunt's chapter. I loved the chapter, but wanted a group that was going through the same life stages as myself. I started my own chapter and we have been going strong since. We do things with the other chapters continously and are looking to add a few new members at our next rush party in a month.
Sisters forever,
Whitney

So, would you guys suggest that I wait until I look at all the chapters in my area before I start another one. I am very interested but was a little discouraged because of the age thing and also because of me being a woman of color. I wil take any advice you can give me.

I was kind of worried about not fitting in to because of my age and color. But Beta is so different then other GLOs. I have never met more supportive and sweet women (outside my own org and my work of course)
I still have not found a chapter yet but and still kicking around the ideal of doing a FV (friendly venture). Hey, if you were here in Dallas, we could totally start a chapter

Great news!! I haven't been around the board much lately, so I was really excited to find out that you are on your way to becoming a sister. Keep us updated on your progress.
