No Paul, it wasn't the media. Afterall, the media was there during your Linda days, and you had a wonderful marriage!

Maybe it had to do with the fact that she is more than a quarter century younger.

Works for Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, as well as half a dozen couples I know in Manhatten . . . shrug.

I can see how the stress of the media can really add fuel to what might be a volatile situation. Or even create one that isn't there.

Especially because he is at a point in his career where he has reached a ssort of icon status . . there is only so much bad people are going to say about him. I think predominantly people feel nostalgic towards him . . .

So she may not be able to handle the critcism as well.

I have to say I kind of feel bad for her. Her stepkids probably made her life hell. I mean we all know how vocal Stella was against Heather. I'm surprised the marriage lasted this long. I know if I had been Heather I wouldn't have put up with Stella's shit, I would have told my hubby "bye bye now" since obviously Paul really didn't stop Stella from being a bitch to Heather.

What I mean by that is, I don't think Paul actually told Stella "she's my wife, you need to respect her". I think he enabled her to say publically how much she hated Heather. And let's face it, that is going to cause issues with Heather.

As for the prenup, pretty damn stupid for not getting one.

I thought this marriage was a total slap in the face of beloved Linda. But whatever....it made me not like him so much.

I'm kinda happy its over.

Why? Because he married someone younger? Because he married someone at all? Because he married this particular someone?

Linda died, Paul did not.

has anyone read the people mag. article yet? i plan to get it tomorrow.

i have to wonder: if the mccartney kids were so adament in their dislike of heather, there must've been a reason. after all, they are all grown and all(but perhaps the son, james) have spouses of their own.

I read it yesterday. They were saying it may not have been the $$$$ but the noterity that she is Paul's wife (which everyone knows Linda did not thrive on). Also, they said she is very strong willed and so is he so they clashed.

FSUZeta, I totally agree with you on this one (the children being so against her). They also address it in the People story. They probably saw right through her.
