I'm actually surprised he lasted as long as he did given his tendency to cuss out anyone who didn't agree with him
Others have been banned for much less.

iAgree. I don't think he did enough to get banned (IMO) but given the trends of good ol' Xanny-Poo, I'm surprised he lasted that long.

There was a shooting at a private high school in my hometown today. One of the teachers was fired this morning and he came back with a gun, shot the headmaster and then himself. It's so surreal. My high school and that high school had a very close-knit community, a lot of the kids came from the same feeder schools. I can't wrap my mind around this.

that's some crazy stuff. A 7th grader from a local middle school committed suicide 2 days ago. A lot of kids in my church's youth group all went to the same district and there was a big buzz amongst their FB pages. So young and so crazy.
What I want to say tonight is....pretty soon I can no longer buy toys. Bigger and better responsibilities coming up...

See, we're a big "Just called to say hi and see what you're up to" family. I mean ALL the relatives, on both sides. I just grew up that way--people call to check in on you and you do the same because you care about how each other are doing. So when I went away to college, I used to walk around the dorm, just knocking on friends' doors to say "Hi!" and "What are you up to?"
I got voted Nosiest Resident at the Dorm Awards.

We've started the process of selling off our stuff to move back to the states. Since I didn't want it put to the zero hour and didn't know if my prices were on target, I posted them on dubizzle, the Dubai version of Craig's List. Well apparently I priced my 3 piece sofa set too low. Within minutes my phone was ringing off the wall! I ended up selling them for MORE than my asking price to a guy who wanted to come before everyone else. Ooops. That tells me I was $100 or so low.
And then the bad part - we don't plan to move until about April 15th but we now have no living room furniture! Thankfully we have decent balcony furniture. The guy was begging to buy both of our tv's too, but that was a step too far. But the guy (who owns a used furniture store) said he'd buy everything we have left over at the end. So that's a help. Now, to figure out what gets shipped and what stays. Some of it is obvious, but some less so.

Did I geek to far, even for me?
I posted this on my Rennie themed page, and someone felt compelled to point out that "3 is already out". It's not - they're announcing features & release date, hence the funny...but was it really that unclear of a funny, or did the joke just go -> on that person?

I get it....it just floated over their head. Either way, people who just got the iPad 2 during the holidays afterwards may be slightly pissed that they got their device so close to a new release.

+1.
My fiance seemingly gets a bazillion of these calls and it drives me up a wall, particularly if we're doing something.
My mom and and I talk weekly, or more. Siblings, maybe monthy (we live in different states); my boys, if something is up that needs to be handled/scheduled, re-scheduled. Otherwise, we all know better. Call me on some "nothing" and it's: "dude, get off my phone."
but... in the interest of full disclosure, I did stand in the grocery story a half hour yesterday w/ a buddy I hadn't seen in a few months. Either I'm mellowing a bit or it was the fact that my fiance has been in Dallas since Sunday.

It pisses me off beyond belief when people use "don't be such a homo" or "that's so gay" as a derogatory remark. Seriously makes me want to smack them, especially when, once I mention to them that I think it's wrong, they say "it's just a joke, don't be so serious."
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, still annoys me.
But once you express yourself in this way while wearing a shirt with MY group's name on it, you're representing me.

I'm trying to figure out what it is about me that makes 2 of my coworkers think it's okay to spout their homophobic nonsense in my general direction. Is it the rainbow striped badge holder or the "I support gay marriage" bumper sticker that makes them assume that I will be A-OK with hearing all their anti-gay jargon?
UGH. Sometimes people piss me off.

That's why MacRumors... But seriously--before you buy an Apple product you should check this; otherwise you'll get a nasty surprise when they roll out a far superior version of the product two weeks after you bought yours. I learned my lesson when I bought my first Mac in 2003.
