I think people forget that as time moves on, people like, grow up and stuff.

An ex-aunt from that side of the family asked me, during the last family event I attended, if I "was still riding those horses." While I rode the horses, my sister was actually the one who rode them competitively...twenty-five years ago. She seriously stopped riding around 1986 or 1987.

How are people so dumb?

COUSINS! I'm glad my parents limited the amount of children they had so my children won't have a bunch of cousins running around saying stupid stuff.

Today was my niece and nephew's first day of school. My sister posted a picture of them with a caption that said, "Look at my sophomore and 5th grader!"

One of our cousins replied, "Is [niece] in 10th grade?"

Well, she's obviously not in college...

This isn't bad grammar, but it was annoying:

My friends go to college, I go to war. At the same hour they wake up to decide not to go to school or work that day, I've been at work for hours. Their alarms wake them up, my alarms send me to cover. They make plans based on how they feel, I do as the schedule that was put out to me demands. They can't wait to leave their homes, I can't wait to get back. But when we look back on our respective lives, they'll like theirs, I'll be damn proud of mine.. -Repost if your Active duty-

LOL it had bad grammar after all.

Anyway, I thought it was annoying and somewhat self-aggrandizing.

Gods I hate the "Repost this" posts. I just mocked the pledge of allegiance one going around mercilessly for being in all caps and for pulling the "if you don't post this you're not american" or whatever it actually says.

People who post that probably know jack shit about why the "Under God" is in the pledge in the first place and when it was put in there.

Oh joy. More status updates from a soon to be family member (aka nephew's baby mama).

"i cant believe how agressive is my daughter ! she bet up her tia amiee for trying to take her toy ... wow im really suprised where she learn this behavier .. because i sure hvent tought her.. my mother says that she sure is my daughter ."

"Having a grate day at school ! All my instructres are funny !this is going to be a good semester"

"I'm feeling like I'm not going to tolerate nothing no more !"

NOTE: This genius is starting her first year in college. Alas, she asked me to help her with her first paper due next week. My head is going to explode from the bad spelling, grammar errors, horrible language and her overuse of slang in her writing. *headdesk*

This bit of FB effery courtesy of...surprise! A dumb-ass cousin (but not from the dumb-ass side):

I just read that President Obama came back "1 day" earlier from his summer vacation because of Hurricane Irene....ummm I love you and all O but I'm sorry the President should not be able to take vacations!....Lol I'm just saying.....America is *#*!ed up..we need you working everyday..all of u over there in Washington....doing what ever it is that yaw say you are doing!!! No summers no Weekends..no nothing!!! Lol

Does she realize that even when Obama's on vacation, he's working? Probably not, because they don't teach you that in Online College when you've been going for the past 15 years.
